Exploding box card - pastry chef cruise themed

Hi everyone!!
Thank you all for joining me again!
Tonight I'm blogging about one of my newest customers orders..
The card request was for someone who liked to cruise and was a pastry chef..

This is what I came up with

For the outside of the box I've used a blue cardstock and a retired Stampin' up! Dsp I felt went with the water cruise theme, to make the boxes ive used our box maker

A ship from traveler Stampin' up!
I've used basic grey for the ship and dapper denim and a sponge for the water.

For the background I've used very vanilla with gorgeous grunge stamp set in dapper denim and emerald envy

I've used very vanilla here and gorgeous grunge aswell with layering love in emerald envy

I've followed along with the very vanilla here too and used dapper denim with the stamp set out of the everyday occasions card set

That's all for the outter layer next we have the inner layer!! This layer I lovvvvvve even if I do say so myself

I wanted to create a kitchen theme so started with the oven and bench and went from there!!

And that's my exploding box card!
I hope you all enjoyed seeing it and it's inspired you to make something amazing
To see this card in action you can view it here on YouTube view the video here and if you would like to purchase any of the items used you can click in the highlighted sections or here

P.s on a side note.. Funny story.. While blogging away in the kitchen watching dinner cook out of the corner of my eye I see something big and red walk past.. Sure enough it's Houdini ruby escaped her paddock again!!
Not sure if I've told you all before or not but ruby is a master escape artist! She's worked out how to open farm gates, push fence supports out of the ground and her latest trick is to push the electric fence into a tree until it shorts out and go through it.. She's lucky I love her!! Lol

Sneak peek - hostess stamp set

Hi all!!

Today I got a bit of time to create.. So I thought I'd showcase one of the upcoming hostess sets.. These sets are available only to party hostess's

This adorable little coupe are from the set love you lots...

My gosh aren't they just adorable!? I can't wait to get time to play with the other ones in this set!!

With this card I've also used the new in colours dapper denim and sweet sugarplum along with the new dsp stack

I've also used dimensionals with this card my tip with smaller bits like the little hearts used here from the owl punch I cut the dimensionals into quarters and it helps the bits pop up but you can obviously see the dimensionals like you would if they were whole ...

I hope you've enjoyed my sneak peek!! If you would like a new catalogue let me know and to keep up with my posts please subscribe to my blog in the top right hand corner of this page

Pre order arrived!! - sitting & thinking

Hi all!!

Today my pre order arrived!! I was so excited I made a YouTube video opening my boxes..

I knew I just had to create a card using one of the sets I brought, so I decided to create this card.

This stamp set is adorable! It's called sitting here..

I wanted to make the swing look as real as possible so intentionally placed the cushions mismatched and not perfectly in line

The adorable little puppy is fussy cut and I've placed him inside the basket stamp

I've used the new in colours as a base with whisper white

when shading and colouring this card i've used all inks and sponging except the for the flower pot inside i used stampin' write markers.

I've come to love sponging when colouring its super easy and creates so much depth plus you can work up the colour to what you want..

Thanks for stopping by and if you would like a catalogue please let me know

May blog hop with guest dena rekow

Hi all!!

I'm hopping along again with this months crazy crafters blog hop..
This month we have special guest dena rekow joining us.. And we got to case one of her amazing projects ....

I actually had to choose just one project OMG!!

Well after a hard decision I decided to case one of Dena's split cards

This is my take on Dena's card

I tried a new technique with this card using the sponging method and I lovvvvve the result!

I've used into the meadow stamp set which I adore

I layered my card using dimensionals ( my beloved dimensionals haha)

I decided I loved doing this split card so much a made a couple more

Continue hoping along and if you've lost your place there's a list below to pick up where you left off

Enjoy fuchsias - global design project 33

Hi all!!

Thank you for joining me again!!
Now normally I'd look at these 3 colours and never even think to pair them and to be honest I wasn't keen when trying to think of an idea
But after I started playing with the colours I realized they actually look really cool together reminded me of a more vintage look
So this is what I came up with

I've used Stampin' up! Owl punch (buy here) to create almost everything on this card

This card was in reality very simple to make in the way of tools and supplies
I've used

To create the fuchsias I've cut the owl punch then sponged night of navy all round the edges, the centres are the little heart from the owl punch and a strip cut with Stampin' trimmer, the back of the fuchsia is the large circle from the owl punch cut to shape with scissors and the stem trimmed with the trimmer again

That's my entry for this weeks challenge at global design project
